Mrs Maus’ Fruitcake
1 LB butter
candied orange peel
candied citroen
golden raisins
candied lemon peel
sour cherries
sulfured aricots

2 LB walnuts – chopped
2 LB pecans – chopped

to batter add 2 C granulated sugar
12 eggs
one at
1/2 C unsulfured molasses

make a parchment paper collar on a round buttered baking pan
Makes 5 6 inch cales
Each pan – add 1 lb 10 oz
Fill pan and press flat

Bake 275ยบ for 3 to 3.5 hours

add orange peel
other fruits
Pour everything into bowl
2-1/2 C flour
2 TBL alspice
mix by hand
fill into buttered pan

while they are still warm

1/3 C brandy
1 TBL sugar

Glaze

Decorate top

1 C apricot jam
1.3 C brandy
heat and strain through a sieve

Glaze top only
Top with pear, cherry, pineapple, clementine orante, pecans

Glaze again
