Thira’s Mincemeat Pie

Ingredients

Flour
Butter
Mincemeat

Instructions

1. SEE RECIPE FOR PASTRY DOUGH
2. Squash the dough, and roll out flat
3. Trim into circles using a glass
4. Put a small amount of mincemeat in the center
5. Use egg wash to brush the circumference
6. Top with another pastry, and pinch together
7. DOCK (or poke holes into) the top of the pastry
8. Bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes
9. (optional) Sprinkle powdered sugar on top

NOTE: This recipe was created by our host’s nine year old daughter (a Brit) who we met on our 2007 trip through southern Spain.
