- 1/4 C Mayo or Miracle Whip
- 1/2 C Shallot
- 16 oz Artichoke hearts
- 1/4 C Romano or Parmagiana or Gruyere
- 1/4 C Montery Jack or Mozzarella
- French bread or baguette
- OPTIONAL: Spinach or Tomato
- Mix first three ingredients and set aside
- Grate cheeses and set aside
- Cut bread into 1/4 inch slices
- Spread butter on top of slices and broil until just starting to brown
- Remove from oven and spread artichoke mixture on each
- Top with cheese
- Put back under broiler until cheese starts to brown
