This is a good side for any protein, and also helps accent any sandwiches or burgers.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Large sweet onion – sliced thin
- 1/4 C balsamic vinegar
- 2 TBL sugar
- 1/2 C water
STEP BY STEP
- Sweat onions in 1 TBL butter over low heat
- Add balsamic and reduce
- Add sugar after they are quite wilted
- Add water and let them simmer for 30 minutes
- Cool and refrigerate
- Serve as a side
