Ingredients
- 1 C creme fraiche
- 1 egg
- Turbinado sugar
- Mix 1 egg and 1 C créme fraiche and put into greased pie pan
- Sprinkle lightly with Turbinado sugar (approx 1/2 C)
- If in a pie shell, wipe down the edge of the shell with egg white and sprinkle with more Turbinado
- Put a pan of hot water in the bottom of the oven
- Bake at 275º for 30-40 minutes or until it starts to brown
- Custard should jiggle slightly, but not appear to be too liquid
- Turn off oven and open door halfway to let cool
