Grandpa (Chef Robert) offers two levels of classes: Beginner and Intermediate. We’ve left the advanced classes to culinary schools where you will learn lots of advanced chemistry and theory that we don’t cover. Don’t get me wrong, we give you lots of information, allow hands-on experience, and offer tips and tricks about WHY things happen the way they do.
Junior Chef Classes
We give young “want to learns” an equal chance to cook. CLICK HERE to look at our Junior Chef Topics. Age does not necessarily put a student in a Junior Chef Category. We will meet with the parent and student to determine their best placement.
Beginner Classes
Students will learn basic safety skills such as how to hold chopping knives, how to avoid cross-contamination, cracking and beating eggs, flipping and stirring and how to build flavors
Intermediate Classses
Students will focus on more advanced menu choices and higher heats such as hot oils, special kitchen tools, plate design, and advanced concepts such as pallard and sauces.
