- Cut a lime in half, leaving one end just a little bigger than the other.
- Squeeze both sides of the lime into a glass
- Discard the smaller half
- Cut a flat spot on the bottom of the larger half
- Use a knife and carefully cut out the membranes
- Dip the edge into rough sea salt (or margarita salt)
- Pour a bit of the juice back into the lime glass
- Top with tequila
