Sift together
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp clove
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Mix with
- 1 egg
- 3 TBL molasses (spray cup before measuring)
- 1 stick (1/2 C) unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
… AND THEN
- Roll small cookie balls in 1/4 C granulated sugar
- Put on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
- Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes
