Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

This is the classic recipe as provided by Sun-Maid Raisins.

  • 3/4 C butter – softened
  • 1 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C granulated sugar
  • 1/4 C milk
  • 1 large egg
    or 1 medium egg plus 1 yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 C AP flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 C old-fashioned oats
  • 1 C Sun-Maid raisins
  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Combine and beat butter, sugars, milk, vanilla, and eggs until light and fluffy
  3. In a separate bowl combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt – mix well
  4. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well
  5. Stir in oats and raisins
  6. Drop by the tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet leaving two inches of space between each one
  7. Bake 12-15 minutes
  8. Remove from cookie sheet immediately and set on paper towel, newspaper or wire rack to cool
