- Get a ball of pizza dough from your local pizzeria – about $5
- Cut into 8 pieces for standard pretzels, 16 pieces for pretzel bites
- Roll them into ropes
- Twist into pretzel shapes for regular pretzels, or cut into pieces or tie into small knots for pretzel bites
- Let rise for 60-90 minutes
- Start large pot of boiling water and put in 1/2 C baking soda
- Plunge pretzels into water for 30-45 seconds – stir every few seconds
- Remove to paper towel, and dab off extra water
- Make an egg white wash – 2 eggs, and 1 TBL water
- Set onto parchment paper on a baking sheet
- Sprinkle with Maldon salt
- Bake at 440ยบ until golden brown
- Serve with a sweet mustard dipping sauce
Suggestion: 1/4 C each Dijon and sour cream and 2 TBL honey
