Simple Simple Canned Corn Chili

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 LB ground beef or hamburger meat
    For Vegetarian, use 1 can kidney beans, and 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 large red onions (slivered)
  • 1 TBL oregano
  • 1 can whole-kernel corn
  • 1 can tomato puree (Hunts or Progresso)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 TBL Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 TBL sugar
  • 3 bay leaves

STEP BY STEP

1. Brown the meat, and set aside
2. Saute onions until edges start to blacken
3. Add oregano to onions
4. Cook 5 minutes
5. Drain corn and add to the mixture
6. Add everything else and heat mixture
7. Cover and simmer for 1 hour
8. Add meat, uncover, and simmer for another hour to reduce liquid

Serve with Tabasco
